Presented by SaatchiArt.com, the world’s leading online art gallery, we’re a global gathering of creative thinkers, game changers and pleasure seekers sharing emerging talent and unforgettable experiences. Art isn’t confined to convention or rule, and how you enjoy it shouldn’t be either. A place where art feels accessible, where everyone fits in, where the experience exists outside of four white walls and the same four artists? That’s not normal. That’s The Other Art Fair. We’ve created something different, and we want you to experience it right here in London at The Truman Brewery. We combine affordable and original artworks and 200 independent artists with immersive installations, performances, DJs – and a fully stocked bar. So why not do something impulsive, get excited, and revel in the creativity? You belong here.

‘Cornwall, Colour & Coast’
An Exhibition by the ‘Freedom in Painting’ Group.
The Old Fire Station Gallery, Henley-on-Thames
Thursday 26 – Tuesday 31 October 2023. Open daily 10am-5pm
Since 2011, renowned landscape painter and colourist Ashley Hanson, a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists, has hosted a series of courses in Cornwall, under the banner ‘Freedom in Painting’, attracting artists from all over the country and internationally wishing to push their practice forwards. In their response to the beautiful coastal landscape and harbour-towns of Cornwall – Porthleven, Port Isaac, Polperro, Polruan – each artist has found their own personal freedom in painting. The Group was formed for all participating artists to share work and exhibition news and to continue friendships. This impressive, contemporary, and eclectic collection of work is their third exhibition at the Old Fire Station Gallery, bringing the light and colour of Cornwall to Henley-on-Thames. Each of the twenty plus artists will be showing three paintings, including artist/tutor Ashley Hanson, who, as part of his teaching, produces a painting on each course. Admission is free to the gallery in Upper Market Place.
On Saturday 28 October, 1- 5pm, there is an opportunity to meet the artists and share a glass of wine. Everyone welcome.
Ashley Hanson has an extensive national exhibition record, including The RA Summer Exhibition, National Open Art and The Discerning Eye, with recent solo exhibitions at Linden Hall Studio, Deal and at the Crypt Gallery, St. Ives.
