Description
Based on the double working harbour of Porthleven, in Cornwall. The harbour is a safe haven for the little boats, as boards can be dropped in place between the outer and inner harbours to protect the inner harbour from bad weather. Porthleven has an extraordinary clock tower right at the end of the harbour giving a very strong focal point from any direction, this is featured on the far left of the painting.
