Description
Port Isaac, a harbour town down in Cornwall (where the TV series “Doc Martin” is filmed, also some of the film “Fisherman’s Friends”) has two piers at the end of the harbour. What makes them so unique is that the landscape around is steep and you can walk round looking down on the piers from three sides resulting in a relative dance between the two differently angled piers as you move and creating tension in the gap between them. The oil paint has been applied thickly on one of the piers with wet on wet techniques being used to enhance the tension and the difference.
