Description
This painting is based on the interior of the life drawing studio at Queens Park Art Centre in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire where I go to life drawing on a Monday and it is where we hold two day workshops with the fantastic artist Ashley Hanson twice a year.
This picture was painted with reference to the style of the American artist Richard Diebenkorn, plus with inspiration from the Francis Bacon exhibition at the Royal Academy in London 2022. It was exhibited at the AKA Contemporary Gallery in Cambridge during their spring 2023 exhibition, and it has been shown in 2024 at the Holy Lane Gallery in London in a group exhibition.
