Drawing is not a skill that comes very easily to me, and I don’t often paint in a representational manner, however, after discovering the exquisite colours of Unison pastels on coloured ground, the figure and life drawing has become much more exciting. Figurative also means to me that the painting or drawing has more recognisable objects in the composition than my usual abstract work.
