Original prints and paintings
Abstract Paintings
Although abstract, my pieces are rarely ‘made-up’. My style is to take an aerial view (of a vista that inspires me) and transform it into a unique, vibrant collage of mixed media and morphed shapes.
Landscape Paintings
As a young girl in East Africa, I drew inspiration from the shapes, colours, & textures of natural vistas and the way the weather affects their appearance (how the wind shifts the shapes & colours, how the sun brightens or dulls, etc).
Seascape Paintings
The raw power of the ocean waves hitting the harbour walls & surrounding land is a sight to behold. Many of my recent paintings are abstract depictions of water interacting with man-made structures, boats, & land.
Water Paintings
As an avid swimmer, I spend a lot of my time in all bodies of water – Swimming pools, lakes, oceans, and even the occasional river. The sea pools and beaches of Ithaka and Menorca continue to fuel my passion and spark new concepts for my paintings!
Paintings of Cornwall
Cornwall is a firm favourite and tourist hot spot in Britain. The combination of harbour lights, expanses of sea and sand mixed with the unpredictable weather, thundering waves, and stunning historical towns make for a vibrant scenery painting full of different tones, colours, & shapes.
Mixed Media works on paper
For a complete change to oil paint, I also work in Mixed Media and collage on thick paper, using coloured papers, pva, gel medium, acrylic paint, ink, and all sorts of drawing materials like posca pens, biros, pencils, graphite etc. to create layers upon layers of different textures and mark making.
Figure Paintings & Giclee Ltd.Ed. Prints
Realism & life drawing never came naturally to me – Which is why most of my pieces are abstract. But after discovering the beauty of the female figure combined with the intense colours of Unison pastels, my passion for life drawing was lit! Giclee Limited Edition prints are Fine Art quality reproductions on acid free paper of my original artworks, with maximum editions of 25.
Small Works
Small works as mixed media and collage and water based paint and inks on paper, or oil on canvas generally no bigger than 35 x 35 cms
Mediterranean Paintings
My family life (parents living in Menorca) and sunny excursions with other artists have granted me the incredible opportunity to paint their luscious landscapes & seascapes. Spain, the Greek Islands, & Tuscany – I’ve visited, swam, & painted them all of my years!
